Passion for justice best describes our team. ODIS works to change lives and are rewarded for our efforts with satisfaction and new friendships from all over the world. In three years we've helped people who represent 47 different countries. ODIS's backbone is our volunteers who have a variety of experience and education, with the commonality being compassion, consistency and commitment.

A list of only a few of our volunteer opportunities include: receptionists, computer specialists, counselors, publicists, speakers, grant writers, translators, interpreters, cultural education, fundraisers', data entry, legal research and file preparation. Our volunteers: junior and senior level college- social worker students, pre-law students, international relations student, attorneys, professors, teachers, several retired professionals and even clients who return to give back the help they once received.

Our Executive Director, Anne Starnes, and our Program Manager, Emily Briscoe, are our only paid employees. Anne and Emily truly rely on our volunteers and feel very fortunate to work with such a wonderful group of co-workers and clients.

Training is ongoing and varies depending on the position!
