Classes (Citizenship and Conversational Spanish.)

Citizenship

ODIS provides citizenship classes. We prepare our clients for their interview and test with the CIS before we complete their application for citizenship. Sometimes this means getting them enrolled in ESL classes prior to Citizenship Classes, we assure that our client is ready for their interview before we actually file their naturalization application because CIS has caught up with their backlog. It is only taking 6-8 months for their file to be approved and an appointment scheduled for their interview and test.

Conversational Spanish

CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH CLASSES

Announcing Spring 2011 ODIS Spanish Classes

Come study Spanish with us! Leticia Alducin and Reyna Garcia are teaching an informal Spanish class during the Spring at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 2200 N. Bell Av. in Denton and will continue on a weekly basis. The price of the class is $45 per participant per semester, which goes to support the mission of Opening Doors Immigration Services. Send questions to hagan@unt.edu. The class will use Barron's Spanish the Easy Way as a reference.

About the teachers: Leticia Alducin and Reyna Garcia are from the city of Puebla, Mexico. Leticia has studied English, French, and German in Mexico, and has transfered to UNT to study to become a bilingual teacher. Reyna is here studying English. They offer a native knowledge of Mexican Spanish and a deep understanding of what it means to learn languages. Their tag-team approach of two native Spanish-speaking teachers will allow for differentiated instruction, so there is something for everyone regardless of your experience with the Spanish language.
